The Fit Test

When doing these simple tests your child should be standing up to make sure the toes are flat and the foot has its natural spread.

1. To check the length, you should have a lady’s thumb worth of room from the longest toe to the front of the shoe.

2. To check the width, you should be able to squeeze a little of the shoe material at the sides {picture (a)} and by firmly passing your finger over the front of the shoe {picture (b)}.
